Following the release of Sean Heathcliff’s playful and dreamlike EP, A Boy And His Rose, Liberation are pleased to announce that the young artist will be bringing his new songs to life this May. The shows will be his first in two years and will see him perform at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club and Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar.
The delicate and organic sound of A Boy And His Rose shall be recreated live by a 5-piece band, through bittersweet guitar melodies, gentle keys, acoustic drums and Heathcliff’s unique floating vocals. The shows will feel close and intimate, as Heathcliff finally shares his introspective song writing.
Since the Kagu EP, Heathcliff has explored writing novels, plays and scores for short films. His masterful lyricism highlights his natural ability to create pop music in its purist form. The five songs that make up A Boy And His Rose capture a unique and quintessential chapter in our lives – the passage from youth to adulthood. Heathcliff provides an inquiry into love and life in such a gentle way it allows you to do the same.
Sean Heathcliff released his debut EP under the name Kagu in 2015, which featured the singles ‘Shadow Of The Wind’ and ‘Human’. Both received extensive airplay nationally and have collected over 3 million streams. Heathcliff was also the co-vocalist and guitarist in much loved/missed band Snakadaktal, whose album Sleep In The Water debuted at #9 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2013.
Line-up and set times to be advised, tickets will be $12.00 on the door if available.
